Who We Are

Amenity Hospice is part of a family of community based hospices. Our hospices are deeply rooted in their communities and have served these communities for as long as twenty-six years. Our primary goals are to provide the highest quality hospice care and service in every community in which we operate and to be the hospice employer of choice in every market in which we operate.

What We Do

Hospice is a concept of care that recognizes that the entire family is affected by one person's illness. Hospice exists to provide support and care for the terminally ill people so they and their families might live as fully and comfortably as possible.

Hospice services are provided to the patient/family by a team of professionals and trained volunteers. These services are not intended to take the place of care by family members/significant others but rather, to guide and support them in the care of the patient. The services made available by Amenity Hospice will be provided according to need and directed by the staff.

Our Mission/Philosophy

  • Patient care and service are our highest priorities and primary reason for existence. Amenity Hospice will be the highest quality hospice care provider in every community in which we operate.
  • We will provide an attractive environment for hospice employees recognizing and acknowledging that our employees are our greatest asset in providing quality care and service to our patients, their families, and the community.
  • We will provide hospice care to all appropriate patients and will not discriminate against any patient due to age, color, race, religion, sex, national origin, disability or inability to pay.
  • We will always comply with all regulations governing our industry and maintain the highest standards of ethical conduct.

Our Commitment to Service

Amenity Hospice is committed to providing the highest quality of care and service to our patients and families and the highest level of service to our referral sources. Each Amenity Hospice location and each Amenity Hospice employee subscribes to an 8 point Service Commitment.

Additionally, to ensure we are delivering on our Service Commitment and meeting the needs of our patients, families, and referral sources, Amenity Hospice regularly surveys these groups to obtain feedback. Family satisfaction survey results indicate that on average 96% of patient families rate the overall quality of service provided by our hospices to be good or excellent.

Our Purpose

Hospice care is intended to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients and to offer support for the family and significant others. Amenity Hospice provides care in the home and to residents of long-term care facilities. The goal of hospice care is to provide comfort to the patient by assisting with pain and symptom management and to enhance the quality of life for both the patient and family. In addition, this hospice program provides grief support to the family for one year following their loved one's death.

Service Policy

Amenity Hospice provides services to persons who meet the admission criteria regardless of age, color, race, religion, sex, national origin, physical or mental disabilities. This agency respects individual patient/family values, religious preferences, individuality, privacy and dignity.
